Icon Intermission at C4[1]

I get asked a lot about how I created my QLab icon. At some point I’d love to go a little bit more in-depth about that — I actually made a polished presentation about it for my interview at Apple — but in the meantime, here’s a video of my short icon talk that I gave at C4[1]. Enjoy!

    Good job man!
Not much time, but you had the chance to show some of your quality stuff and workflow! I knew you used Cinema4D but this gave a different perspective on *how* you use it!

    Keep it up :)

    Hey Bobby,

I’ve been a big fan of your work for a while now, esp. the logo stuff. This talk makes me feel a whole lot better about starting the 3D learning curve; coming from straight design. Totally dig your humbleness.

Give me a shout if you can offer me a few words on what 3D packages to start experimenting with for logos. I’m assuming you’d still rep Cinema 4D here? I quite like the look of ‘Massive’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massive_software). Curious about how you could use it for pattern making…

    Best.
